Toward the end of summer, we flew to the East Coast for my cousin's wedding. I don't remember going to Long Island as a kid, so we spent a few days based in Port Jefferson visiting Mom's friends and then to NJ for the wedding before driving back to the city for a few more days. During that time we had a little memorial for my Dad and buried a small urn of his ashes near his parents. After "visiting" other relatives at the cemetery, we all headed to Chinatown for lunch in his honor. My dad - he made an impression on a great number of people. He will live on in our memories.
You may notice from the photos that enjoyed lots of frozen treats - ice cream and lemon ice as well as lots of yummy food in great company during our week there.
